The office with highlander soul!
Marta Krzyśków-Szymkowicz

My name is Marta Krzyśków – Szymkowicz. I am the Founder of this law firm, in which I have been working as a patent attorney and mediator, while following the rules I had learned during my childhood in the mountains, which had a strong impact on my attitude to life and work. I treat every case individually. I am determined and persistent in reaching my goals, that is why there is nothing impossible to me. I could well quote Napoleon Bonaparte and say that „the word impossible is not in my dictionary”. Everything is possible with strategic and conceptual thinking.

Apart from mountain hiking, my second hobby is Russian language and culture. Thanks to two-year studies of the Russian law and trade with the East at Lomonosov University in Moscow I can assist Polish and international companies in implementing business strategy on those markets.

I have 10 years of professional experience in the scope of industrial property protection. Since 2011 I have been a patent attorney. Since 2016 I have also been a mediator specialized in commercial mediation, in particular in cases related with protection of intellectual property rights.

– Since 2008 I have been an active member of the Polish Chamber of Patent Attorneys
– Since 2011 I have been a patent attorney for EU trade marks and designs licensed to represent clients before the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) in Alicante and before the World Intellectual Property Office (WIPO) in Geneva.
– In September 2017 I was chosen to MARQUES – The Association of European Trade Mark Owners – for a two-year term as a member of International Dispute Resolution Team, where we discuss how to persuade business people in Europe that alternative dispute resolution methods are better options than a dispute in court.

I share my knowledge with those interested by writing publications issued in professional magazines featured on international property law. „Examination of a trade mark saves time and money”, „a pill made of cement”, „a cream from cement mixer”, „the power of sound” are only a few catch words from my articles. I am a co-author of an international publication “Trademarks in 52 Jurisdictions Worldwide” (Poland) – „Getting the Deal Through” 2014 and 2015 where I sum up the most important industrial property regulations in Poland.

Language competence:
– I am fluent in Polish, English and Russian.
I am looking forward to talking to you on what else there is to reach.

When conducting patent cases, our lawyers cooperate with a team of experienced engineers – patent experts specialized in such fields as mechanics, electronics, biotechnology.
